I took the bearings out of my spare fireblade wheel and discovered the spacer tube was made from (very rusty) steel. My first wheel must have had an aluminium replacement, so i made an aluminium bearing spacer for the spare wheel too.
I managed to find some bearings the same dimensions as the current rear wheel bearings, but with a 22.22mm internal diameter rather than 20mm so decided to make a captive spacers for the brake side and pressed them into both wheels.
I also got hold of an Active quick action throttle, which is now fitted. The throttle is really heavy (it was heavy with the standard throttle, but I assumed it was the old, dirty, kinked cables). Nothing seems to be sticking so i'll have to investigate further.

More calliper work
I had to buy a replacement disc, the original was cracked, luckily honda haven't changed the design for years meaning many bikes share the same disc, so there's plenty of options on ebay. This is an 08 CBR600RR one. You can also see the stopper I bolted on to stop the mount rotating forward in use. I still need to cut off that huge lump of steel used by the original calliper mount.
Virtually finished plate with bolted on spacer and stopper, it's 10mm thick aluminium. After this pic i decided to mill out 1.5mm for the stopper bolt, just to give a bit more clearance to the disc as per the calliper bolts.
The other side of the plate, I'll move on to something else for now and tidy it up next time I set-up something else for milling. I've already marked out the areas i will remove for lightening.
Fitting the rear caliper
I finished drilling the holes for the calliper bracket and made up the rear wheel spacers. Now I just need to trim it down so it doesnt look so ugly and figure out how to stop it rotating forwards in use.

Sprocket carrier spacer finished
I've finished the sprocket carrier spacer. I decided to machine down one of the old spacers and make it captive, it's only 2mm thick, so would be a nightmare to use in a rushed wheel swap. I had to machine down the spacer on the other side of the bearing too.

Bodywork has arrived and replaced the wheel bearings
The CBR1000RR 08 bodywork turned up and i couldn't resist sitting it on the bike to see what it looked like and to gauge the amount of work. The fairing doesn't look too bad, but the seat will need a lot of work, the whole subframe has to be removed.
It's tight, but there is enough clearance between the chain and the 180 tyre

Machining work to fit Fireblade rear wheel to CRB600F2
Uses a 2mm spacer between the sprocket carrier bearing and the swingarm. Had to take 11.7mm off of the carrier where the sprocket sits.
F3 Ram air continued
If you have the carbs properly seated, the F3 ram air system does not bolt onto the F2 as is often touted on the internet. Look how low the ram air tube is, and how far away it is from bolting up to the bracket. I'm fitting Fireblade fairings so will completely re-design the ram air tube feeds.
