I'm pretty sure that's a full 2kg lighter than the current battery in the bike. I'll double check at the weekend.
I've also had another think about the weight/power issue and don't think it's such a worry. The Alu TZ250 tank was 2.6kg. I don't need anything that big so should easily be able save 3kg if I make an aluminium tank and fibreglass cover. Besides this bike is 3X as power full as my MZ, it has proper suspension with adjusters to twiddle and learn and I wont have ridden a bike for 3 years by the time i get on track. Being bang on the power/weight limit is the least of my issues.
UPDATE
I've weighed the old battery, this new one is almost 2.4kg lighter.
