I had grand plans for some clever aluminium tube mounts for the upper fairings, which i spent all day Saturday making, only to discover they wouldn't really work, very frustrating. I only finally admitted defeat when one came loose in the lathe and destroyed itself (I put it in the lathe too soon after welding it up and as it cooled it came loose).
I stopped messing about and went back to bending/drilling bits of steel strip and i'm pretty happy with the overall fit/position.
I was also able to cut up and re-use the old front fairing bracket/clock mount. This has saved me so much time, describing myself as pleased with the outcome would be a massive understatement.

Radiator mounting
I mounted the rad on the original fixing points but wasnt happy with how I was able to mount the fairings, I couldn't get it high enough of far enough back. So I cut off the lower rad mounts, shortened them and welded them back on slightly higher on the frame.
This next pic shows before/after moving the radiator further back and up. Don't use the brake lever as a point of reference, I had to move it up to clear the fairings. I'll need to get riser clip-ons now to get clearance for the brake lever
